Scoring companies calculate the creditworthiness of people with Schufa being the most important one in Germany. However, very few is known about how its scoring algorithms work. In cooperation with colleagues at Der Spiegel, we analyzed the data of several thousand volunteeres and shed light on the black box Schufa. Due to privacy restrictions, we did not publish the detailed code of our analysis.
